Far west of BA

In the western Area of Buenos Aires, you can also find insteresting places to visit. This area is divided into 9 districts which you would be able to appreciate on the following map. Have you ever heard about these places?  I will give you some important information about them.

The western Area of Buenos Aires has got 3 very important things: green areas, comercial places and residential neighbourhoods. Eventhough these are the main characteristics, each district highlights in different aspects.

• Marcos Paz is a great place to relax since it is full of fields and farms. It is extremely quiet and sometimes, private parties of electronic music are held on the country houses, where important Djs play during the hole night.
• General Rodriguez is a recent green living place district, many contry houses are being built which makes the neighbourhood quite new and ideal for staying for years.  You have a lot means of transportation and all the services to live there.
• Moreno, Merlo and Morón are comercial areas. You will find a lot of malls, shops, shopping centres and important markets to visit such as Plaza Oeste Shopping and Nine.
• La matanza is a great combination of living, shopping and resting. In Ramos Mejia, for example, you will find a lot of restaurants and discos over Gaona Avenue. Also over Rivadavia Street you can do dancing to an important huge disco called Pinar de Rocha and many other pubs. It is ideal to go out at night! This district also has got an important University and a long shopping place over Arieta street. Residential neighbourhoods and quiet green areas are located here. Some places can be extremelly dangerous too, so you have to be extremely careful when choosing where you go.
• Hurlingham and Ituzaingo are probably the favourite places to live within the western part of Buenos Aires because of its resitendial houses, its big amount of trees and Shops. 
• Tres de Febrero is also a quiet area, maybe it is not that expensive as another residential places.

About Buenos Aires Capital City

In this opportunity I want to show you a map so that you can fully understand how we divide the different points in Buenos Aires. The whole province is divided into districts, and inside them, there are places that we call neighbourhoods. The capital city of Buenos Aires is divided into 48 neighbourhoods.

Surely you have been there

I am supposed you have already identified the places that you visited. Turists always move around the Eastern Zone, they go to Palermo (one of the most fashionable places in Buenos Aires), they walk long distances within Puerto Madero, they eat and stay in a hotel in Downtown and sometimes they go on a short city tour to take pictures of San Telmo, San Cristobal, Parque Patricios and La Boca. These places are important because they show a lot of history facts. But, what about the other places? Are we ashame of them that they are never shown to turists? Well, it is not that we are ashame but they can be dangerous if you go there alone and without knowing the area. 

Fast Summary

I will make a fast summary for you so that you get an idea of what might me interesting enough to visit.

Belgrano: Chinatown is located in here, over Arribeños street. You can get there taking any of these buses 15, 29, 38, 41, 44, 63, 55, 65, 80, 113, 114, 118, 130. Chinese Restaurants are great and some holidays are held in Chinatown.

Nuñez: River Plate Stadium is located here. This is the place where many international rock bands play live.

Chacarita: Not much to see but a graveyard and a soccer stadium are located here. 

Boedo, Parque Chacabuco and Nueva Pompeya: This is basically an industrial area, many factories and important companies are located here. 

Recoleta: Great area, you can find a museum, Buenos Aires Design Mall, a Cultural center and very expensive restaurants. Sofisticated, colourful and beautiful neighbourhood.

Caballito, Flores, Floresta: These are family neighbourhoods. You will find a lot of shopping centers, Bingos, Cinemas, Parks and ice rinks to skate on ice (they are private so you must pay a small fee to enter). There are also interesting discos so that you go out at night. Over Avellaneda Street in Floresta, you can buy bargains such as clothes, shoes and bags really cheap.

Mataderos, Liniers: You can go to Mataderos Fair on Sundays. This is the meat refrigerator zone. We use to go there to buy the meat with really low prices, so that we can cook a delicious barbecue.

Important Shopping Centres in BA

Why are they special?
Shopping Centres in Argentina are similar to the malls you already know. There are a lot of shops, a huge variety of industries and marktrades and also you can go to a cinema if you like, or maybe you just want to sit for a coffee. The most popular ones
I recommend the following places:
Galerias Pacífico. Located downtown, Florida and Cordoba Avenues, it is really easy to get there, you can walk straight Florida street or just take a taxi (better walk). This Shopping centre is full of tourists from abroad and it is really ellegant.
Abasto Shopping. Located in Tango area of Buenos Aires called Abasto neighbourhood (Corrientes and Aguero Streets). You can get there by taking a taxi since it is not that far from downtown or you can use the subway line b (has a special entrance to the mall). Also, this shopping centre offers a free transfer service from your hotel, just call the following number 5777-6027 and book a sit. This place has got three floors and it is bigger than Galerias Pacifico. You can not miss it!
Patio Bullrich. Located in Libertador 750 Street in a luxury neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. It is huge and you can get there by bus (lines 61,62,92,93,130) try to avoid taking 92 or 93 lines since they are crowded most fo the times.

Alto Palermo Shopping. Located in Santa Fe 3253 Avenue, Palermo, you can get there by taking the subway line D or by bus (12,29,39,64,68,111,128,152,194).

You can exchange money in any of them.Although the following malls are located in the suburbs of Buenos Aires city (you can not exchange money here), they are great places to visit and also the prices are lower than in the previous ones:

In the West side you will find:

Plaza Oeste Shopping. Located in Gaona and Vergara Avenue in Morón City. Really great place to take your family out. You can get there by bus (166).

In the South side you have:

Alto Avellaneda. Located in Guemes and Larralde Streets in Avellaneda. This mall is big, quiet and great to visit. Take any of these buses to get there (74,85,95,98,154,247).

In the North of Buenos Aires:

Soleil Factory. Located in Camino del Buen Ayre and Panamericana Avenues. Although it can be a bit complicated to get there, it really worth it since you will find great discounts on mark clothing. 15,21,57,87, are some of the line buses that will take you there.

Shopping in Buenos Aires

This is your third visit to Buenos Aires and you still did not find the perfect places to go shopping. I will give you all the recommendations you need to visit the best shopping centres to do some shopping regarding what you are looking for.
Leather extra cheap!
If you thought that leather is really cheap in Argentina, your eyes will not be able to believe the crazy prices in Murillo Street where you can find an original leather jacket for only 120 dollars! You can also buy many other leather things such as purses, bags, shoes and boots. To get there you just have to take a taxi or a bus to Munillo street (when it begins) and walk up the whole street from side to side to compare prices and buy happily with no regrets.
For all tastes!
It does not matter whether you are a man or woman, in Cordoba Avenue located in Palermo (4000-5200) you can walk, watch and compare prices from many different Outlet stores which sell leader marks such as Bensimon, Vans and Awada. It is important that you really walk this twelve blocks and their street intersections so that you can buy properly at a very low price and a great quality. Some of thetn even accept credit cards. Try to exchange your dollars so that the prices will be even lower.
So remember, Munillo and Cordoba in Palermo are the cheapest places to buy good clothes, excellent quality. There are some other places with very low prices but they do not have the marktrade backward. You can find these stores in Avellaneda Street in Flores neighbourhood, but I must warn you that some things are really bargains! Make your best choice and enjoy your shopping tour day!

Food and Beverage

People coming to Argentina usually think about barbecue, not any regular barbecue but the one with the most delicious beef cuts you will ever eat. In fact, I must warn you that this is true. Then, what about vegetarians? Are they going to starve in Buenos Aires? Regarding food, there are plenty of options in this city.
Since we are influenced by a huge variaty of cultures, you will find many different restaurants to go and eat many delicious dishes as you wish.
Which kind of restaurant can you find in Buenos Aires? There are thematic ones, free holding (this means that you pay a fee and you can eat as much as you wish, with no beverage included), pizza restaurants, delivery and take away, fast food, cafes and regular restaurants (remember that none of them include tips).
If you are a pizza and pasta lover you must go to La Bistecca where you will be able to try a delicious italian menu. You can also choose a pasta dish in almost every restaurant in the city (because they are really common in here). In case you feel like eating meat, do not miss the barbecues by going to a barbecue restaurant such as La Caballeriza or Siga la Vaca. Moreover if you have a friend who lives in here, he/she has to invite you to a home barbecue (achuras are great, eat them too!).You can also find many fish dishes in the menues, I recommend you eat fish in the restaurants near the coast (the fish is fresh and tasty). Besides, there are sushi restaurants like SushiClub(Expensive but excellent choice regarding service and food). If you are a vegetarian, you can eat salad not only in any restaurant but also by going to a vegetarian restaurant (with a huge variety of vegetable food).
On the other hand, maybe you just want to stay at the hotel because you are tired, so you can order something calling to a delivery or take away (most regular ones are pizza and empanadas experts). Maybe you are out of time so you go to a fast food restaurant, try to avoid Mc donalds and choose any of the thousand options you have in town. If you want to drink cafe and eat a cake choose a cafe like Havanna (I recommend you go there and try alfajores which are a delicious combination of chocolate and dulce de leche, trust me you will not regret it), Aroma is another great choice for either breakfast or picnic. Finally if you are looking for a tasty dessert, the most popular choice is Ice cream (There are thousands of Ice cream shops where you can sit and eat it), you should go to Perssico, Munchis and Freddo.
Regarding beverage, if you eat pizza you will probably drink beer (our popular beer is lager and is not as light as Corona). When eating pasta or fish you would rather choose a white wine such as Torrontes (a bit sweet, strong taste), Sauvignon Blanc (soft), Chablis. Red wine is an excellent choice to join meat, barbecues and empanadas, the most popular is Cabernet Sauvignon but you can also drink Malbec, Syrah, Merlot depending on your taste. Free alcohol beverage choices are water (Villavicencio is mineral water) and soda.

Sport Fishing

This is your third visit to Buenos Aires and you are kind of boring at this time. You want to relax, and do some outdoor activity so that you can forget about work. Delta del Tigre
San Pedro
Delta del Paraná
Then you have lakes which are just a few miles away downtown such as Lobos (2 hours travelling).
Chascomús is also a great lake to do sport fishing but is not that close to Buenos Aires City.
On the other hand, if you are working near the Coast District, you should drive to Santa Clara del Mar, Mar de Cobo and Mar Chiquita (just about one hour away from Mar del Plata).
